Ayaw lang ko tawaga ug atty, sir kay "we are all forumers" here.
With regard to your example sir and in relation to this ordinance,in my point of view, ang una natong pangutana is why did our LGU created such ordinance? What is the cause? What are their bases? What good does it do to our society? When did induced noise pollution become acceptable? What part of the world does pollution co-exist with safety?
Is it because others are abusing it to the point where their "claims" that installing such open mufflers would guarantee them of their safety? in which, what we usually see on motorcycle related accidents exposed the exact opposite?
What the LGUs are trying to impose here is the regulation of open mufflers for the reason that mc related accidents are rising not only due to the rise of mc users but due to the stereotypically embedded concept of "when you have an open muffler, you will be noticeable to other vehicles on the road."
Which is a very contradicting fact when the majority are talking about safety yet remove the essential parts of their mc with regard to safety...up to the point of questioning the apprehension of not wearing proper gears ie: helmets, footwears, pads etc

On the noise part, of course common sense should, supposedly play a large part on this but unfortunately the opposite prevailed. ie: inappropriate use of loud mufflers on residential areas? Imagine the discomfort you could give to other people? How will the govt suppose to regulate this? By allowing you to bring an additional silent muffler whenyou enter a such areas, imagine the hassle?
In short, the approach of this ordinace is to regulate the problem for the general interest and that includes us.
But again, this cannot materialize for now for we lack the equiptments.
For now, we can just ask humbly to be responsible enough to know how "loud is loud"

    1. why did our LGU created such ordinance?

    2. What is the cause? ANS. noise pollution kay di pud ikalimud nga daghan kaayong muffler nga pwersang sabaa.. maka pungot labi nag muagi sa residential area unya hinanok ang tulog sa atong baby.. 1st hand experience gyud nako na sir.. mao usahay makahuna huna tag dautan tungod sa ilang kasaba.. akong point is naa tay sukdanan unsa ka saba ang saba..

    3. What are their bases?

    4. What good does it do to our society?

    5. When did induced noise pollution become acceptable?

    6. What part of the world does pollution co-exist with safety? ANS. ang uban mo ingon loud pipes save lives, disagree ko ana. para nako bullsh!t na.. kay kasagaran naka loud pipe mugara man hinoon padagan, mokiat kay feeling racer na kaayo so maka cause hinoon ug disgrasya..

    7. Is it because others are abusing it to the point where their "claims" that installing such open mufflers would guarantee them of their safety? in which, what we usually see on motorcycle related accidents exposed the exact opposite? ANS. same answer sa akong number 6.

    8. What the LGUs are trying to impose here is the regulation of open mufflers for the reason that mc related accidents are rising not only due to the rise of mc users but due to the stereotypically embedded concept of "when you have an open muffler, you will be noticeable to other vehicles on the road."

    ANS.

  5. #895

Ang hambog sir in your consideration is kanang mga taw nga maghisgut ug butang nga sila mismo walay alamag ug dili kasabot.
Ug sa tinod anay nga kinabuhi nila wa gyud diay ikabuga. Bisag sa papel nalang.

    Braggadocio - empty boasting

on the topic, di gyud ni ma approve.
OT: Each has his own perception, perhaps we just find too much information and trivia in a post as "boasting". Or maybe we're just used to getting to the point and we leave out the rest of the details. To quote, "a wise man is of few words"

uyon ko anang gisulti nga di gyud ni ma approve ky wa jud klaro...but just in case, nangandam nlng ko muffler with silencer ky wala naman jud ako stock nga muffler...

If i should take your quote literally then perhaps based on the cited words adjoined describes a 200 page decision by the justices as inferior to your level of intellect. How overwhelming.
I should personally shake your hand sir.
