Default 100 octane fuel for Hyundai Eon

    Ok ra?

What are the pros and cons for using the said fuel, specific to Hyundai Eon only?

Car has .8 liter engine SOHC 9-valve

    Highly appreciate ur inputs!

Recommended niya is just regular unleaded lang ba, boss? 91 RON.

Sayang ra man siguro imo few pesos per liter ana. If u prefer higher octane than the regular, 95 is fine.

PROS: none (same as regular 91 RON fuel)
    CONS: more expensive per liter

no benefit on the car's (Hyundai Eon) engine performance and any other passenger cars. stock engine cars na usual nato gamiton... sayang ang nabayad sa 100 RON gasoline...

race tuned engine on racing cars or "true" sports cars will benefit from the 100 RON gasoline...

    just to add...

in the late '90s to early 2000, i used Petron Blaze on my Yamaha V50 motorcycle... huna2x nako, kusog kaayo modagan akoang smoker. huna2x ra nko kusog mo dagan kay lagi, mahal man sya... naka Petron Blaze gud sya... bwahahahahaha... this is funny but true ha... i used Petron Blaze kay gusto nko ang pinaka the best Octane rating sa Petron... toinks...

this is not a car though pero, ako lang ni gi share diri ang pagka tuwingwing nako'g huna2x sauna... pachay... hahaha...

    yup, you nailed it...

higher octane fuels are not necessarily better labi na sa mga modern cars with smarter ECU's nga mo adjust sa ignition timing depende sa type of fuel ma detect (modern cars are now less prone to engine knocking).

bottomline, stick to what's recommended in the manual... you should be fine...

case in point, i did several rounds of full tank experiments vs XCS (95 RON) and Xtra Advance (91 RON) sa akong Jazz GK... and to my surprise, i did not notice any difference at all (driving response, fuel economy)... of course the only thing i notice is mas mahal ang XCS...

also tried V-Power Nitro+ (Balamban to Cebu via trans central), ang from Cebu to Balamban nako kay Xtra Advance... didn't feel any difference gyud, tungas2x na ng trans central ha... mao2x ra gyud, wala gyud koy additional kick sa makina na feel by using higher octane fuel...

however, this is my own experience and with my Jazz GK ra sad... it could be different sa laing sakyanan... kay daghan gyud ko ma dunggan nga "lahi ra gyud" kuno ang ordinary 91 RON vs higher octane fuels...

like akong migo nga naka 2012 Swift matic, mo ingon siya mas nindut kuno sipa ang XCS for him labi na long drive.

akong igsoon sad nga 2013 Rio manual, mas responsive kuno kung XCS compared sa 91 RON...

Yeah, it would probably give you around 1-2hp increase. Not so much, but I guess it could be felt with a light car like the Eon.

I have all my naturally aspirated cars on regular 91RON gas and my turbocharged one on 95RON... sometimes on 97 or 100RON if I want to increase the timing or boost for fun driving.

But yeah, no harm in always gassing up with 100RON gas. It's just a few pesos difference anyway in exchange for peace of mind.

others say a 100 RON gas would likely damage the head gasket faster than the lesser RON gas since it heats up faster, is that true?
