pro think of it, ang BRT nag agi ug feasibility study ug uban technical details regarding sa project?
ang LRT proposal? powerpoint presentation ra ni Dino? as per Nigel Villarete an Urban Planner by profession (https://www.facebook.com/npvillarete) bisan step 1 sa LRT wa paman gani ma sugdi.. unya kinsa man ato tuhoan ani?
Du30 has only 4 yrs left in office, what if next succeeding Presidents kay dili priority ang countryside, mag unsa nalang ta ani?

Akong only concern rmn boss, kay mu samot ang traffic sa BRT. Example lng is kanang bag.ong dan sa liloan. Alternate route padung liloan gikan mandaue. Wala dyod na road widen. Imagine if sa sulod sa city with establishments na nuon. Hence, dili ko optimistic sa BRT.

Seems to me that there is something fishy about Tomas and BRT. If BRT were so great, why would Tommy not bring up the BRT issue with Duterte? What is he scared of? Does he not have the ear of the president? Does he even have access to the president or is he just pretending that he does? He cannot fool the people all the time. Watch his body language and that of the president if ever they do appear in public together. Puro ra ni hambog si Tomas nya hadlok diay makigstorya sa presidente.

Have you thought of any "major" projects in Cebu City or Metro Cebu (including Lapu2x, Mandaue etc) between 2010 - 2016 during Nonoy's time? What do you think caused the traffic now? How sure are we na mo fail ang BRT naa moy feasibility study to back it up? Based sa study sa proponents sa BRT, feasible kaayo siya sa Cebu, nya kinsa man ato tuhoan ani ang nag feasibility study or kadto nag storya2x ra nga dili feasible ang BRT? mo too nalang d ay tag tsismis ani? kay suhito si kuan, suhito si kana ug uban...murag storyas tambay nalang d ay ta ani..

So far the only thing i know is, BRT project followed the guidelines set by NEDA mao btaw na aprobahan... i can't say the same for LRT.. why need to cancel BRT when it can complement the LRT/MRT in 15-20 yrs time?

i'm not trying to be 'suhito" but for me, adto ko mo too sa kadto ni subay sa proseso kay ngadto sa moryo2x nga mao ni mao na... kay nikalit bya ug kadaghan sa mga suhito karong panahona...

Tinuod ni Boss... but do you know who stopped the road widening? As far as i can recall it was during Noynoy's time kay project ni ni Gloria unya iya gipa stop during his time (typical Yellow/Noynoy standard of service)...

Agree with you in many respects that a lot of our problems stem from Pnoy’s time. Duterte has been doing a lot to correct those problems. And BRT is one of those problems. It is an idea whose time has passed. Tomas claims he thought of it in 1998 or thereabouts. If it had been done by 2004, then it would have served its purpose up to now and we move on to an LRT. But it has never happened from 1998 up to today and now Tomas is trying to blame Dino and the DOTr for trying to stop this project. Wa cya ma buang? The conditions that existed when the project was first studied in 2008 does not exist anymore. The traffic we have had 5years ago is what BRT would have prevented or allevieted. BRT as planned is now OBSOLETE. If they will plan BRT again WITH road widening for the dedicated bus lanes, then I am all for BRT. But to alloww huge buses to join regular traffic in the Banilad - Talamban road is just plain stupid and it does not take a genius to see that.

Pwede ra jud ang Monorail because it adds capacity without taking anything from our existing roads unlike BRT. Anything that will really help lessen traffic is good unlike BRT.

wa ko kasabot sa logic na e pugos og push thru ang brt kaysa lrt kay dali ra ang installation/construction period bisan og dili mo work sa atong existing road network. in any design aspect, dapat naay 20-50 year advance design criteria. e pugos jud ang brt kay naa nay budget unya na sod na sa bulsa sa mga politiko ang 80% sa budget. good luck cebu.
