How to convert a Logical Partition to Primary Partition?

I installed Powerquest Partition Magic 8.0 on my PC and tested its features by creating a partition(my HD already had 2 partitions, C: for windows(primary) & D: for Data(logical)). So, naa nako 3 partitions (1 primary and 2 logical partitions). Days later I decided to delete the partition i just created leaving my harddisk with 2 partitions but ako na-change ang type sa partition from primary to logical. When i restarted my pc, naa na message ni-appear na insert boot device... ako gi-insert ako windows xp installer but ni-error siya na "The disk is not a windows xp-compatible installer"... I inserted another windows vista installer then i knew na mao diay dili siya mo-install kay both partitions are logical partitions... I tried to troubleshoot it by using bootable na partition magic but error na ang table... What will i do? I have important files there. Are there other ways na ako mabuhat basta dili lang ma-delete ang ako files aside from purchasing another harddisk. Last option na siguro na nako basta dili na jud siya madala...

Please guys need your help with this one...

sakto jud ka bro, e slave nalang na into other PC then imong copyhon imong important files. Then no need for you to buy new hard disk...then if naa kay bootable nga OS installer(Xp, VIsta) i insert na sa imong CD room then make sure that your CDroom is first device to boot in your boot sequence sa imong Bios. after ana check if pwede ba nimo ma set ug primary partition..kung dili gani aw mag re partition jud ka sa imong hardisk the re format nasad..heheh

Ok backup your data files from the HDD then naa naman kaha kay partition magic i manage didto nga from primary imo i logical but remember dili pwede ang Drive C imong i logical it should be primary kay diha baya ang location sa OS. Secondly nag fail cya kay imo man cya gi convert so mao lage klaroha ug reformat better use windows setup bro kaysa partition magic kay I heard a lot of bad feedbacks when using PQ partition magic maka daut daw sa sector sa HDD.

murag mao na jud na siya ako mabuhat i-slave na lang jud... Now, i'm decided not to be tempted to use Partition Magic again kay murag mkaguba jud na siya sa sectors...
