Hi John.. I'm Howard... Howard Roark.
Have only read Crime and Punishment on books by Dostoevsky.
Include "We, The Living" on top of "Fountainhead" and "Atlas Shrugged" by Ayn Rand. It is a good book though I felt really depressed afterwards. Another "depressing-good" book is "The Grapes Of Wrath" by Steinbeck. Also "Of Mice And Men" hehehe

"The Fountainhead" evolves around the lives of Howard Roark, Elsworth Toohey, Dominique Francon, Peter Keating, and Gail Wynand. Each character representing the philosophy (objectivism) of the author Ayn Rand. It is a story of the struggle between men of greatness and men of mediocrity. It is an elation to man's greatness. Full of heroism, individualism and egotism (egoism? what the heck...) that borders on the line of absurdity. It is the kind of book that one would either love deeply or hate completely.. So is her "Atlas Shrugged"

I have a copy of Crime and Punishment but I still haven't read it yet. I found a second-hand book that has a compilation of some of Dostoyevsky's earlier writings in a Booksale outlet, and I really loved it, especially a short story that was really sentimental and romantic.

I loved The Grapes of Wrath! It's really a beautiful, though tragic, story. Of Mice And Man is good as well..
