    For mapping, just use google maps...

    sa singapore and malaysia, meron na kc. especially d2 sa singapore, most cars meron na GPS devices, just a matter of point origin and point destination, makikita na sa monitor where to go. estimated km. etc... very accurate and very fast, im not aware about google,although i'm using it of course but i don't know how nice u get on free stuffs compared to monthly subscription.

    TS, nice tali na if naa naka mga nasugdan na codes then ngplan ka na mkahelp ang istorya community sa imu project, magsetup ka ug git/svn repository sa imo codes.

    Not sure, but using those info provided by gps client devices like our Android is actually acceptable. Though sometimes they can be off by 50 to 100 sqr meters or even more, but hey for us civilians, that's actually ok..

    We started a GIS and location based service project two years ago and this year, after establishing the ground works for our android team, we are now moving forward in integrating this with our existing project, probably you can also help us out with this.. Last time, we used the djikstra graph search algo to determine the shortest path route.
