Default My experience in the Nokia Lumia 720 Test Drive

Signed up for the Nokia Lumia 720 Test Drive program...

DAY 1: Picking up my Nokia Lumia 720 Test Drive unit with complete papers and valid ID at Nokia, SM City Cebu...

I got sports car red... let's roll!!!

What better way to start a test drive than diving into a whole day event!

Was hired to cover an all day event at SM City Cebu with Rose Pharmacy Inc. Let's see how the Nokia Lumia 720's famed camera handles the complex lighting...

The digital zoom is controlled via pinch-to-zoom. Simple, easy, awesome!!!

The camera of the Nokia Lumia 720 has a fast f/1.9 lens... meaning great pictures in low light

Must remember to try camera in 4:3 setting next

And now to test the video capability...

DAY 2: Taking the Nokia Lumia 720 out for a spin...

Nokia's City Lens helps you find places to wine, dine, get going, sights to see, or rest your head...

Make a selection and the camera turns on giving you an augmented view of where to go...

But it needs a system clean up as places that closed down a long time ago are still listed.

Point the phone down and it automatically switches to map view...

There's no need to unlock your phone to get to the camera when you have a Windows Phone. Just a long press of the PHYSICAL shutter button activates the camera right away.

And after taking a shot, a swipe from the left brings up the picture and a tap on the right lets you share the photo right away through facebook, twitter, email, and more

At first I thought the 480 x 800 pixel screen would be wanting as other phones are already coming with 720 x 1280 pixel screens. But actually holding the Nokia Lumia 720 in hand the screen is actually great! Images are crisp and colors are bright and clear.

The 512MB RAM might be a disappointment as you won't be able to run some apps... like if you're a fan of Temple Run. But it perfectly runs other things I need. Especially since it has Microsoft Office built-in.

The phone is also not LTE capable... but if you're not a heavy mobile internet user other than email, fb, twitter updates then you won't actually miss it.

The phone is really light despite its size so it's easy in the hand and in the pocket. Battery life has been great. A full days use of wifi, gps, mobile data, music, games, camera... and I'm only at about half battery.

The camera is something I really love at the moment

    DAY 3:

If you have kids then a Windows Phone is great for you...

From the lock screen just slide from the right and it brings up kid's corner.

Kid's corner is a special place that gives kids only what you allow them to use.

So meaning no prank calls to your boss.

    My 9 year-old customized the kid's corner...

I think you know what her name is now

    And that she likes pink...
