CORDOVA CEBU "SOLD"

Anyone here knows why the Island Cordova of Cebu city was been sold? Is this real for lots of people in cordova living thier dont know it was been sold to a foreign country by the mayor of the town.

I just heard this news when I ride a multicab from Opon to Marigondon for a beach swiming. Why did the mayor of the said Island sale the whole land.

How sad if this true for the people of Cordova.

Is this Real?

AFAIK, drinking with Arleigh and Tomas, the island will either be utilized as a business/techno park or a tourist site. the muslim/badjao inhabitants were given good relocation sites and were actually thankful to both mayors.

contrary to rumors, this island was not "sold" to foreigners but technically the companies/infrastructures that will be erected here will be owned by foreigners

cordova is currently a very ideal place to invest in. there is a plan to connect cordova to cebu city.

OT: if only gullas did not get tomas' ire...

And if indeed it is true that they have sold the "island" then the supposed buyer is an idiot or misguided because there is no such thing as Cordova Island, much more an Island Cordova of "Cebu City".

So no worries.

Kidding aside. There is no Cordova Island because the "Municipality of Cordova" is part of Mactan Island and by being a municipality, Cordova is not part of Cebu City but of Cebu Province. :mrgreen:
