    Default VMware Player 3.1.1 for ubuntu 10.04


    I have a problem installing VMware on my ubuntu 10.04 lucid 64bit

    Here is my problem

    magic number does not match

    I am thinking installing VMware as an alternative for my wine.. I have crashes lately on my wine when I try to use my MS office..

    so anyone tried using VMware on you ubuntu system?

    yeah, i dont get why u need to vm msoffice as ok man na alternative ang openoffice

    naa ko issue sad sa open office..

    ang mga formula sa spreadsheet lagi kulang.. then dili nako ma incorporate sa ako mga templates nga na buhatnako sa ms excel 07

    pero nahan sad ko mo try..

    Bro. use VirtualBox to emulate your Window$ OS. It's faster than VMware and installs/runs easy on Lucid. It can accept vmdk format virtual hdd's. Maybe naa kay mounting problem ana pero sayun ra na, I change lang kung unsa device name.

    wla man ma installa ng vmware so ang ako g install nalang is virtualbox 3.2 try pa nako unsa ang mga ma buhat ani..

    Do you need the CD if maginstall ka'g OS sa VMware/VirtualBox? Dli pde .iso (image) lang then i.mount sa VMware/VirtualBox? Kay kasuway ko sa Parallels, ako ra gi.mount then pag.gamit nako ug VirtualBox, dli nya mabasa.
