    Default How to Choose a UPS?


    750 watts akong PSU. more or less 600watts akong power consumption sa akong pc..

    unsa ga PSU akong paliton? ok ra ang 500VA / 300 watts?

    or kailangan gyd 650VA/350watts?

    pls help. thanks.

    my pc specs: (more or less daw 500 watts + ang consumption ana akong migo)

    sapphire hd 7850
    i7 3770
    23" samsung LED
    1 TB seagate
    2-200mm led fans
    4-140mm led fans
    1 DVD
    Coolermaster V6gt
    asrock z77 extreme 6
    silverstone 750w GOLD

    Unsa diay specs sa imo PC Bro?

    Just to give you an idea sa akong APC UPS (APC BACK-UPS CS 650VA):

    it gives me 9-10 mins Standby time:

    Idle: around 240 watts (Using APC Powerchute Software)
    Load: around 330 - 350 watts (Using APC Powerchute Software)

    ang mga naka connect kay:
    1 x Quad Core CPU
    1 x 24" Monitor
    4 x 2gb Mem
    1 x 6870 GPU
    2 x 120mm fans
    1 x 80mm fan
    1 x 90mm fan
    1 x Fan Controller
    1 x Blu-Ray Drive
    2 x 2 TB HDD
    1 x 650 Watts PSU
    1 x Bose Speaker System

    gamita 650VA and above value brad. considering medyo high end jud ang specs mo.

    APC ako recommended brand

    ^agree ko ko ani, 1000VA = more or less 600w capacity. but it will burn a hole in your wallet jud hahaha.

    Bro, this is nowhere near 500watts not unless this rig is OC'ed like hell... my estimate is somewhere near 300 watts and that includes your monitor...

    my 3570k (stock) and no video card only hovers around 60 watts and around 120watts at full load. now let's add 100watts for your 7850 and then another 50watts for all others... that is still less than 300watts...

    im using Omni digital power reader by the way... for your monitor, estimate nako ana around 20watts... may samsung P2250 is rated 40watts but i lowered down brightness to 30% and it only consumes 20watts... since yours is LED, it should only consume around 20watts as well...


    given that, i think you're safe with 600VA or 650VA for a little more allowance...
